Stacy Witbeck played an integral role in the original construction of the FrontRunner alignment and has performed work on stations and tie ins in the years since. This is to double track portions of the 89-mile-long commuter rail line from Ogden to Provo, Utah. There will be 21.5 miles of new double track adjacent to the existing operating tracks.
Need
Due to single tracking on portions of the alignment, the commuter rail can experience delays due to choke points along the route. FrontRunner 2X will increase the frequency of service, reducing wait times for passengers, as well as enhancing reliability through improved on-time performance for better connectivity to regional bus and light rail systems.
